Vol. 29 No.1, September 2001

Meet the Executive Board –

Lindy Lecaros, Secretary

Education:  MLIS, UCLA

Organization: Assistant Librarian, Jefferies & Company

Years in librarianship: 8 or 30, depending on who's counting.

My hobbies/interests include reading and travel.

I became a librarian because getting paid to continuously learn sounded

like a great idea to me.

If I weren't a librarian, I'd be a lawyer.

I've always wanted to know why bad things happen to good people.

If I won the lottery I’d buy a house, travel to Europe and spread the wealth around to my family and friends.

The strangest job I’ve ever had was inspecting small aircraft parts for defects (considering I don't have any engineering background, don't you feel much safer flying now?)

My biggest pet peeve is people who talk on their cell phones while driving.

My favorite movies are Casablanca and Star Wars.

My favorite restaurant is Versailles.

People would be surprised to know that in college, I hung out with my buddies on a bridge. The bridge was located between two occasionally warring fraternities, so we quickly learned the importance of "Competitive Intelligence" and constant surveillance of our environment.
